QUETTA Jan 5 (PPI): Frontier Corps and other law enforcement agencies have killed 8 extremists involved in attacks on government installations, loot along highways, creating hurdles in the development projects, target killing of teachers, hurling threats to educational institutions during a search operation in Turbat, Panjgur, Kalat and arrested15 terrorists. Also seized from their possession were large quantity oaf arms and ammunition rocket launchers and two camps were also demolished.
This was stated by Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti at a Press conference here Monday.
DIG FC Brigadier Tahir Mahmood, Additional Secretary Home Noor Ahmed were also present.
Home Minister said after national Security Plan Government of Balochistan in league with law enforcement agencies and FC conducted search operation in Panjgur, Turbat, Kalat and other areas and took action against terrorists involved in attacks on construction teams of N-85 and M-8 and creating hurdled in the way of development projects in the area, target killing of teachers and threats to educational institutions to close them and incidents along Coastal Highway. Terrorists attacked with modern and automatic weapons, rocket launchers, hand grenades against FC and other law enforcement agencies officials. In retaliations eight terrorists were killed and 15 were arrested.
He said terrorists from banned organisations were involved in killing teachers and forcing educational institutions to close, attack on national installations and loot along the highways. Minister said their two camps were also smashed.
He said nine passengers have been kidnapped in Killa Saifullah in two separate incidents last night. Secretary forces, FC, Police and Levies were carrying out search operation in Zhob and adjoining areas.
He said Assistant Commissioner Dhadar during past one month arrested 8 dangerous dacoits in Bolan area and recovered two abducted persons. Two dacoits were arrested from Khuzdar.
He aid under National Action Plan following Peshawar bloodshed FC took action against banned organizations in Ziarat, Sanjavi, Killa Saifullah in which a suicide attacker was killed and another blew him up. He said these actions have been taken on the information of intelligence agencies.
Answering a question Home Minster said it is responsibility of State to provide security to every citizen. We would also ensure security of educational institutions.
Answering another question Sarfraz Bugti said issue of Afghan refugees is very serious. We would take it to the cabinet so that their repatriation is ensured because we have their return plan upto 2015.
He aid agencies of neighbouring countries were inferring in our country and dead bodies found in the recent past were not recognized because there wren to Balochistanis. We can secure future of Pakistan by securing vast borders. FC with its own resources was digging trench along the border with foreign countries. So far 500 Km trench has been completed. Nearly 300 Km trench would also be dug along Pak-Iran and Pak-Afghan border. He said terrorism was spreading in the region and its cure is very much necessary. He said provincial government was fully implementing national Action Plan. He said there will be no private militia in Balochistan nor it would be allowed. He said there are two thousand madaris registered and data of these madaris was being collected.
