QUETTA Jan 9 (PPI): Emergency work has been undertaken to control cheating. For showing excellent performance during matriculation examinations and complete control over cheating staff of examination centre would be given cash prize of Rupees one hundred thousand. Second and third position winning centres would also get Rupees 70 thousand and 50 thousand respectively.
This was stated by Secretary Secondary Education Abdul Saboor Kakar while chairing review meeting about introducing examination reforms here Friday.
Chief Planning officer PPIU Dr Syed Kamaluddin and other senior officers attended.
Saboor Kakar said speech contests, seminar and walk would be organised to create destructions of cheating among the students all over Balochistan so that hard working and able students are not deprived of their rights and menace of cheating is rid of. Girl and boy students securing positions I in these speech contests would be awarded cash prizes. It would range from one thousand to 50 thousand.
He said reforms were being introduced in the Secondary education Department to eliminate traditional way of holding examinations so that not only students are enticed towards examination but they should also be able to have trust in their abilities. In this context it has been decided that all the Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents would be imparted training prior to start of matric exams.
He said students would be provided best atmosphere at ht examination centre, broken windowpanes and doors would be repaired on emergency basis to save them from cold weather. Steps have also been proposed to give question papers to the students and take them back in time to avoid injustice and excesses with them.
He aid students who obtain degrees through cheating do not get job opportunities in where. Therefore people along with government should play their role to root out cheating completely.
