Electricity shortfall increases to 1200 mw

QUETTA Jan 9 (PPI): Electricity shortfall has increased to 1200 megawatts in Balochistan.
According to Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) Spokesperson total demand of electricity in Balochistan except Mekran is 1650 mw while only 450 mw are available. Thus shortfall has increased to 1200 mw.
To meet demand and supply load shedding was being observed under load management in various parts of the province on different timings. Under new load shedding schedule 4 to 7 hours load shedding was being made in Quetta City. At all the district headquarters i.e. city feeders are supplied 8 to 10 hours electricity while rural and agri feeders are also given supply for 4 to 5 hours daily in different timings.
QESCO has appealed to all its consumers to use electricity according to their requirements and switch off unnecessary appliance so that all the consumers are supplied electricity.
