Karachi Red Zone security bolstered after Zafar Baloch's murder

KARACHI Sept 19 (Online): Following the murder of senior Lyari Amn Committee leader, Zafar Baloch, security has been fortified around Red Zone here.
Rangers and police personnel have been deployed at the main entry points of the Red Zone, who have set up pickets and checkpoints strategically.
Moreover all the roads leading to Chief Minister House have been blocked with shipping containers guarded by security men.
Similarly, Governor House has also been covered under thick layers of security.
The city plunged into unrest after Zafar Baloch, a senior member of Lyari Amn Committee, was gunned down along with an aide on Wednesday night.
Reports of arson and shooting are continuously pouring in from restive areas since Baloch’s murder.
