JI concerned over law and order situation in Balochistan

QUETTA: Jama’at-e-Islami Balochistan has expressed its deep concern over the incidents of target killings, kidnappings of people and other crimes in the province including Quetta.
In a statement issued here, it was charged that the incidents of target killings and lawlessness has become a matter of routine. The press release particularly mentioned the incident of abduction of nine persons from Zhob area and killing of one of them as well as the kidnapping of a Sikh trader from Dalbandin and a Hindu doctor from Quetta’s main city.
Moreover, the rampant street crimes have also been matter of concern for dwellers of the city, it was further charged.
While on the other hand, the every day recovery of decomposed bodies from different parts has also caused a wave of resentment and raised questions about performance of the incumbent government.
It was further mentioned that it is top responsibility of the government to protect life and property of the masses, but it is not fulfilling it.
Mere lip service and hollow slogans regarding protection can not serve the purpose, rather practical steps are needed to resolve the issue of lawlessness and restore peace in the province, it was stressed.
The JI statement demanded of the government to take effective steps for restoration of peace and solution of other issues facing the province as it should not play the role of a silent spectator.
