Cold spell grips Valley

QEUTTA Jan 13 (PPI): A cold weather has gripped Quetta Valley and other parts of Balochistan Tuesday.
Southwesterly winds blew all the day with 18 to 24 knots. It is in the wake of light rain Valley received last night. Seven mm of rains were recorded. It ended dry long spell in the valley of almost one year. In view of cold weather people took out warm clothes and woollies to ward off cold.
Met office told that another spell is likely to penetrate in the area on January which would persist upto 22. It is likely to give precipitation and snow over the hill tops.
Minimum temperature recorded here Tuesday was 2.4 Celsius and Maximum temperature was 10.5 Celsius.
Cold, dry and windy weather is likely to prevail during coming 24 hours.
