Police foils smuggling of weapons

SIBI Jan 15 (PPI): Saddar Police in a successful action foiled smuggling large quantity of weapons meant for acts of terrorism in Sindh and arrested two smugglers.
According to details DIG Sibi Iftikharul Haq was tipped that large quantity f arms and ammunition was being smuggled to Sindh from Peshawar via Balochistan. He constituted a team under the supervision of DPO Sibi Muhammad Anwar Khetran. The team stopped a suspected vehicle No UE-065 near Shell Pump and searched it. It led to seizure of kalashinkov (11), live cartridge (1630), tt pistol (1) and magazines (4). Two inmates Inamul Haq and Jahangir Khan were arrested and a case was registered.
DIG Iftikhar told Newsmen that run runners wanted to smuggled arms and ammunition to Sindh for acts of terrorism from Peshawar via DIKhan, Zhob, Quetta, Usta Muhammad. On the basis of successful strategy police foiled smuggling of these arms and ammunition. It values 5 to 6 million.
He said police was mobilizing all resources for end to terrorism and providing peaceful atmosphere to the masses. Life and property of people would be secured at every cost.
