Ombudsman takes suo moto notice

QUETTA: The Provincial Ombudsman Balochistan has taken suo moto notice about the reports of delay in repair of the electricity towers damaged in the Chhattar area of Naseerabad district, due to lack of security clearance.
According to an official press release issued here, the Ombudsman Muhammad Wasey Tareen has sought a report from Secretary Home Affairs, Government of Balochistan and Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad over the issue.
It may be mentioned here that three towers of electricity were blown up by unknown miscreants in Chhattar area a week ago, as a result power supply was affected to majority parts of the province.
Due to the power suspension in different areas, the people are facing immense problems, it was mentioned in the press release.
However, the concerned authorities have not so far given necessary security clearance to carry out the repair work on the damaged towers, as mentioned in the press release.
