NADRA Completes Collection of Servants’ Data in Capital City

Islamabad, Sept 19 (Online): On the directives of Minister of Interior, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has completed the data collection of servants in the settled sectors of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad and developed database of 40906 servants, said spokesperson of NADRA.

A large number of households servants throng to Federal Capital for different nature of jobs. These servants come from different parts of the country pose a potential risk to theft and robberies on account of lack of identification. Interior Minister’s decision of registering those servants and maids is taken in the wake of prevailing law and order situation of the country.

The spokesperson in a press release issued Thursday said the authority constituted dedicated teams consisting mobile registration vans (MRVs) for this purpose which in its door-to-door campaign had registered 40906 domestic servants in the capital. NADRA accomplished the project in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority, she said.

She added the total visits of NADRA teams for distribution of forms were calculated to 58227 to 50691 houses in a bid to receive complete details about their domestic servants. However for collection of the same, NADRA made total 100894 visits which is double the ratio of the visits done earlier.
She said that after collection of 40906 filled forms about domestic servants, NADRA has completed 100% digitization of the entire collected data and converted it into a database, she added.
NADRA presented final report the other day to federal minister for interior that also contained the data of 19154 houses who refused to accept servant registration forms or did not cooperate to register their servants.
Meanwhile, the minister took serious notice of those who refused to receive or return the registration forms. The minister directed Islamabad Police to obtain the necessary information and return the same to NADRA for integrating with already held data in NADRA database.
