Consul General of Tajikistan visits UoB

QUETT A Jan 29 (PPI): A delegation of Republic of Tajikistan led by Consul General Sher Jonavi visited University of Balochistan here Thursday and held a meeting with Vice chancellor Dr Javaid Iqbal. Pro VC Dr Mehrab Khan, Registrar Muhammad Tariq Jogezai and others were also present.
Tajik delegation was briefed on curricular, research activities, development projects and future programmes of the University.
They were informed UoB is the higher educational institution of Balochistan where majority f teachers have done their doctorate (PhD). University awards degrees in master, BS, MS Degree programmes and doctorate in 47 disciplines. It educates thousands of girl and boy students from different parts of the province.
It has entered in agreements with national and international educational institutions and established relations.
Tajik consul general said that with relations between educational institutions each other?s experiences, modern technology, cultural and literary activities can be promoted. Various research educational activities, conferences, workshops and exchanges would be undertaken with UoB. Soon a MoU would be finalised so that we can achieve our objectives of higher education.
Delegation went round various departments of University and showed keen interest in research, ancient, historic, cultural artifacts at the Museum of Balochistan Study Centre and liked work of Fine Arts department.
Souvenirs were also exchange don the occasion.
