LAHORE Jan 30 (Online):The total power shortfall in the country is 2,950 megawatts at present.
According to a spokesman of NTDC here on Friday, the total power production is 9,550 megawatts while the total current demand is 12,500 megawatts.
He said that out of total production, 6220 MW are being produced by IPPs, 1450 MW by Thermal Units while 1880 MW by hydel resources.
He said that the outflow from Tarbela and Mangla Dam is minimal due to suspension of flow to canals and the power generation will increase when the canals flow will be restored.
