FC seize arms, ammunition in search operation

QUETTA Jan 30 (PPI): Frontier corps Balochistan conducted a search operation in Gulistan and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition and Suzuki Mehran Car.
FC sources said here Friday that Special Operation Wing of FC conducted a search operation in Killi Ummah Khan of Gulistan last night. Durign operation a Suzuki Mehran Car No AA-297 loaded with arms, ammunition and explosives was impounded.
Search of the car led to recovery of RPG-7 (10), Detonators (27), hand grenades (3), rounds 12.7 mm gun (300),explosive fitted box, electric wire (1 bundle), prima cord (20 feet), RDX (2) and brief case cylinder loaded with explosive material (2).
No arrest was made as the house was vacant.
FC called bomb disposal squad and got the vehicle cleared of arms and ammunition and explosive and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
According to preliminary information terrorists wanted to use above arms and ammunition for fresh acts of terrorism in Quetta and surroundings which was foiled by the FC.
It is added here that FC hear earlier recovered arms factory and dumped arms and ammunition in different areas of Killa Abdullah during search operation.
