Govt. decides to make strict monitoring of Matric exams

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to make strict monitoring of the forthcoming annual examinations of Matriculation and in this regard, the administrative secretaries of the provincial government department would be placed in all the districts.
According to an official hand out issued here, the decision to the effect of placement of the secretaries has been made on directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch to ensure compliance of the government’s resolve against cheating and use of other unfair means in the examinations.
The Matriculation examinations are due to commence from February 18, 2015 in the province.
It may be mentioned here that secretaries of the government departments have been posted for effective monitoring of the polio immunization campaigns in the province. This process is yielding positive results, the hand out mentioned adding that the secretaries would play their effective role in elimination of cheating from the examinations as well.
Needless to mention also is that the provincial government has also taken certain measures for elimination of cheating and other unfair means in the annual examinations.
The steps are included: imposition of section 144 in the examination centers during the Matric examinations, ban on presence of any unauthorized person within the 100 meter distance of the examination centers; thorough search of the students by the examination supervisors; ban on carrying of different materials including books, copies, mobile, electronic dictionary or another material to the examination centers.
In case of recovery of any such thing or material, legal action would be taken against the guilty, the sources said.
Similarly, the shops of photo state in surrounding areas of the examination centers would remain closed from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM as well as from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM during the examinations.
Any person including the student, exam and other administrative staff found violating the instructions and irregularity in this regard would be dealt with sternly. Legal action would be taken against the CRPC Section 188, an official notification mentioned in this regard.
