Security arrangements for UoB reviewed

QUETTA: The security arrangements were reviewed for the University of Balochistan in a meeting, the other day.
Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal presided over the meeting, which was also attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mehrab Khan Pirkani, dean of various faculties, Registrar, Muhammad Tariq Jogezai, Chief Secretary Officer, Commandant Camps Peace Force, Provost of the Boys Hostel and other concerned officers.
The matters pertaining to the university’s security, admission policy, morning and evening master degree programmes were discussed during the meeting.
Certain decisions were made regarding security in the university. These were included: installation of the walk through gates at entry and exit points of the University, stickers for the vehicles, setting up of check posts at different locations, scrutiny of the record of residential colony and hostels, banning entry of the unauthorized persons, installation of the search lights in the University, etc.
Addressing the meeting, the Vice Chancellor also informed that the procedure of admissions and other academic activities have been finalized.
