QUETTA (PPI); All available resources were being mobilised for improving law and order. Better results have emerged following end to sifarish culture and development of merit in police and administration.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Balch while chairing a high level meeting on law and order here Wednesday.
Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch, MPA Muhammad Islam Baloch, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha, Secretary Home, IG Police, DIG FC and concerned officers attended.
Meeting held detailed review of overall law and order situation in Balochistan.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister said security to life and property of people and improving law and order is topmost priority f the provincial government. End of sifarish culture and implementation of merit for appointments in police and administration has accrued better results and law and order has improved to a great extent.
He said police and administration officers posted on purely merit should take concrete measures for further improving the situation because government was mobilizing all resources for enhancing their capabilities of police, Levies besides providing modern facilities.
He directed that security of life and prosperity of people must be ensured by arresting accused of cases registered in different districts, increase in patrolling of levies and Police along highways.
