BBA to organize district level boxing contests

QUETTA: The Balochistan Boxing Association (BBA) has decided to organize boxing competitions at the district level.
The decision to this effect was made during a meeting of the Association, which was held under the president-ship of Syed Faqir Hussain here the other day.
The Presidents, Secretaries and representatives of different district level boxing associations participated in the meeting.
The General Secretary of BBA, Khuda-e-Rahim presented the report of activities and programmes of the Association for the last year.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over overall performance of the Association. The participants also expressed confidence in the leadership of the present office bearers of the Association. Syed Muhammad Sharif, former Olympian, Asghar Ali Changezi, Atta Muhammad Kakar, Habibullah Jafri, Aminullah, Syed Waheedullah, Abdul Wahid, Shahzad Ahmed and others also addressed the meeting.
They stressed the need to sincerely work for the cause of promotion of boxing in the province. They also assured their cooperation in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, the BBA is striving to promote boxing and bring improvement in standard of the sport mobilizing the available resources.
He also stressed that we have to pay full attention towards development of the sport in the province.
For the purpose, the All Balochistan level boxing competitions would be organized in the districts so as to promote it at the grass root level, he maintained.
