QESCO cut off power of arrears’ defaulters

QUETTA: Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) suspended the power supply of eight defaulting agricultural consumers cutting off the power connections of their transformers in Dasht area of Mastung, the other day.
The QESCO sources said that the arrears of hundreds of thousands rupees are outstanding against the defaulters in the province. So, as part of the campaign for recovery of the electricity dues, a campaign has already been launched in different parts of the province.
Meanwhile, the power connections of some other defaulters were also disconnected on the non-payment of electricity dues during the campaign in Dasht area.
The QESCO has urged the electricity consumers to timely pay their bills clearing the dues outstanding against them. Otherwise their connections would be cut off on non-payment, it was warned.
