Official price list of edibles, other services revised Shopkeepers and merchants urged to display fresh price list at their respective outlets

QUETTA: The District Price Control Committee led by its Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, Quetta has fixed the prices of different edibles and other essential commodities in Quetta district.
According to an official hand out issued here, the prices were fixed in light of the decision made by the different concerned government officials and the traders’ organizations in a meeting held the other day.
According to the revised official price list, the price of 20 and 50 kilogram flour bags has been fixed as Rs. 810 and Rs. 2025 respectively.
The prices of other edibles and other commodities were fixed as under: ghee 1kilogram as Rs. 140, edible oil as Rs. 160 per kilogram, super banaspati rice as Rs. 140 per kilogram, saila rice asRs. 120 per kilogram, dal chana as Rs. 80 per kilogram, white dal chana as Rs. 85 per kilogram, dal mong as 130 per kilogram, dal mash as Rs. 150 per kilogram, dal masoor as Rs. 100 per kilogram, buffalo milk whole sale rate (dairy farm) as Rs. 72 per liter, buffalo milk retail as Rs. 74 per liter, cow milk Rs. 50 per liter, yoghurt as Rs. 80 per kilogram, beef as Rs. 300 per kilogram, beef (boneless) as Rs. 350 per kilogram, mutton as Rs. 500 per kilogram, roast mutton as Rs. 300 per piece.
Similarly, the price of single tandori roti (bread) weighing 205 grams has been fixed as Rs. 10 while the price of double tandori roti weighing 410 grams has been fixed as Rs. 20.
The rate of hair cutting has been fixed as Rs. 70 while sewing of the clothes (A and B classes) would be charged as Rs. 500 and Rs. 400 respectively.
It has been directed to the shopkeepers and merchants to display the official price list prominently at their respective outlets.
Stern action would be taken against those not implementing the price list, it was warned.
