QUETTA Feb 13 (PPI): Under the first phase 132 doctors wre transferred to 16 districts of BAchistan under end tyo political sifarish culture form the health Department and restoring merit. These also included lady doctors and specialists. Political parties must not make unnecessary sifarish in the department as present government has evolved policy of paying full attention on health.
This was stated y provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch at après conference here Friday. He was flanked by Secretary Health Dr Riaz Baloch.
MPAs Islam Baloch and Mohtarma Yasmeen Lehri were also present.
Health Minister said National Party is awami and democratic party which was striving to fulfill promises it made prior to election with the people. He said topmost priority of the government is health so that people take benefit of it. He said government has made a policy under which sifarish and political culture form health department has ended. He said under the first phase 132 doctors have been posted to16 districts. Of these 6 were posted to Khuzdar, 7 for Sibi, 6 for Nasirabad, 16 for Panjgur, 20 for Shaikh Zayed hospital, 11 for Zhob and others. These include lady doctors and specialists.
He said health department would implement its policy at every cost though there exists mafia but any doctor who violated orders would be dealt with according to the law.
He aid two major hospitals in Quetta Civil and BMC have been made fully functional. They have been provided with machinery and 100 percent medicines to the people. Earlier they were not getting medicines and medicine mafia was selling ti through contractors. This also included past government.
Soon after assuming charge he added we paid full attention was being paid on five hospitals in Quetta and they would be made fully functional by March while Shaikh Zayed hospital would be brought at par with Aga Khan Hospital so that people of Balochistan have their treatment facilities here rather than other provinces.
