QUETTA Feb 14 (PPI): Chairman Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Achakzai has urged newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor to play role for beauty of Quetta city and resolving water and other problems.
He was speaking to newly elected mayor Dr Kaleemullah and Deputy Mayor Yunus Baloch at his residence here Saturday.
He said past governments did not pay attention on improvement of Quetta City which now faced numerous problems today. There is no drinking water, Sewerage and fire brigade system is out of order while roads and drains are not existent.
He told Mayor and Deputy Mayor the way people expressed confidence in them they should mobilize all resources to come to their expectations. He said topmost priority is to accord priority to improve beauty of Quetta city, restoration of sewerage system and improving fire brigade service. He said Quetta is city of us all and its beauty is compulsory upon us. He said he was hopeful newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor would take it as challenge and play their role in this regard.
Mayor and Deputy Mayor assured him that they would take all possible measures for beautification of Quetta City, restoration of peace and resolving problems.
Referring to problems of Quetta city they said that it is facing drinking water, sewerage system, drains, dilapidated condition of roads particularly law and order problem. Our group would play important role to resolve these problems. Parties which expressed confidence in them we would not hurt their trust.
They thanked Mahmood Achakzai for his all out support on every occasion.
