QUETTA: A committee comprising religious leaders and scholars has been formed under the National Security Action Plan.
The committee would make it sure that the loud speakers would not be let used for the hate speech, spreading religious disharmony and sectarianism. Moreover, it would also play its effective role in prevention of the wall chalking besides scrutiny of the publications and literature based on the hatred and those containing objectionable material in Quetta district.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khan Khilji while addressing a meeting of the religious leaders and scholars including those part of the committee here the other day.
The Deputy Commissioner presided over the meeting.
Those present in the meeting were included: Maulana Abdullah Khilji, Maulana Abdul Qadir Luni of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazrayati (JUI-N), Maulana Ali Ahmed Turabi, Qari Abdul Rasheed, Maulana Abdul Kabir Shakir, Maulana Shahzad Attari, Provincial Khateeb, Maulana Anwarul Haq Haqqani, Maulana Abdul Wahid Achakzai, Maulana Abdul Quddos Sasoli, Allama Jumma Asadi, Qari Abdullah Khan Noorzai, Dr. Attaur Rehman, Abdul Qayum Kakar, Muhammad Tahir Advocate, President Balochistan Shia Conference, Syed Dawood Agha and Abdul Qayum Changezi.
Addressing the meeting, the participating religious scholars and others hailed the formation of committee under the National Action Plan for peace and religious harmony in Quetta and said that it would play its positive role.
They also assured to play their part in this regard. They also called for taking action against those indulged in wall chalking based on hatred or using loud speakers for the purpose.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner said that heavy responsibility rests with shoulders of the religious leaders and scholars to promote religious harmony and brotherhood among the Muslims, he stressed further.
The negative and anti-social elements who wanted to create disharmony and hatred should not be allowed to create differences and implement their nefarious agenda, he maintained.
