Ata Shad remembered on DA: “Literary work of eminent poet needs to be promoted”

QUETTA: The renowned poet and literary personality of the Balochistan province, Ata Shad was remembered on the eve of his death anniversary here the other day.
The ceremony marking the death anniversary of Ata Shad was arranged by the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL).
The Secretary Culture, Aslam Shakir Baloch, Dr. Shah Muhammad Marri, Agha Gul, Dr. Faiz Hashmi, Panah Baloch, Afzal Murad, Noor Khan Muhammad Hassani, Waheed Zaheer, Shazia Lango, Dr. Ataullah Baloch, A. D. Baloch, Amrat Murad, Arzo Ziaratwal, Anwar Bhatti and others were there to pay tributes to the late Ata Shad for his invaluable contribution in the field of literature and particularly poetry.
Addressing the ceremony, Aslam Shakir Baloch stressed the need to promote the literary work and thinking of Ata Shad so that the people particularly the young generation is aware of it.
He appreciated the standard of the research papers presented in the ceremony highlighting different aspects of the life and literary work of the late Ata Shad.
He said that the new generation is not aware of the services of Ata Shad, so it becomes our collective responsibilities to remember the services and literary work of the poets and writers, who have been promoting positive and healthy values in the society.
The speakers on the occasion spoke at length about the poetry and ideology of the famous poet of the province, who made difference in the literature with his poetry and exceptional ideology.
They also stressed that there is a need to do a lot of work on Ata Shad and his tremendous contribution in the literature so that our coming generations may remember him and take forward his ideology.
They said that Ata Shad is an asset of the Baloch nation and it would be an offence to forget him or his contribution for the cause of literature.
