QDA’s governing body approves development of Zarghoon Housing Scheme, other facilities

QUETTA: The governing body of the Quetta Development Authority (QDA) has approved construction of the Zarghoon Housing Scheme and provision of all the basic facilities there.
The approval was given during meeting of the QDA’s governing body, which was held with the Provincial Minister for Planning and Development and Chairman QDA, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai here the other day.
Those who were present in the meeting were members of the governing body including Provincial Minister for Services and General Administration department (S&GAD), members of the provincial assembly Manzoor Ahmed Kakar and Nasarullah Zeray, Provincial Secretary Planning and Development, Station Commander, Station Headquarter, Secretary QDA, Secretary Law and others.
As per the decision made in the meeting, the facilities to be provided in the Scheme are included: building of school, college, mosque, hospital, library, food street, modern type hotel, play ground, marriage hall and modern cinema hall as well as provision of the services and security and establishment of a civic center.
The matters pertaining to the annual budget of the Authority, planning of the new Housing Schemes were also discussed besides others.
The establishment of the Research Institute in QDA was also approved during the meeting.
The Institute would make planning for the housing schemes after carrying out research in future.
Moreover, the meeting also approved the medical bill payment for welfare of the employees, shifting of dairy farms to Mian Ghundi, expansion of the Joint road and Sabzal road, enforcement of BPRA in QDA, construction of shopping mall in Satellite Town, allocation of a plot for Girls College and appointment of daily wage labourers for cleanliness in the Chiltan and Samungli Housing schemes.
