QUETTA Feb 18 (PPI): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Shareef has said all political parties national and military leadership and entire nation has consensus on national action plan and it should be implemented effectively. Parliament has made necessary legislation and Army Act has also been maddened and effective measures were being adopted for implementation of National Action Plan.
Stressing unanimous implementation of NAP in all the four provinces Prime Minister said we have to take difficult decisions for end of terrorism. With implementation of NAP situation has improved in Balochistan and there is remarkable decrease in acts of terrorism in the province. However serious and concrete measures are needed for complete elimination of target killing and terrorism.
This he said while chairing Provincial Apex Committee meeting at Governor House here Wednesday.
Defence Minister Khwaja Asif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef, Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Commander Southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua, Federal ministers Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Minister of State Jam Kamal Khan, Senior Minister and Preisdnet PML-N Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, former Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha and Secretary Home were also present.
Prime Minister said not only people of Balochistan but entire nation was eyeing towards national leadership for the implementation of NAP. He said performance of some provinces about implementation of NAP is very good but provinces have to take effective measures to take lead upon each other in this regard.
He asked Balochistan government to apprise of its difficulties and problems on anti terrorism, implementation of National Action Plan, federal government and Pak Army is ready to extend all sorts of assistance.
Nawaz Shareef said Operation Zarb Azb was being implemented successfully to cleanse country of terrorism. We would end terrorism from every nook and corner of the country. We have to point out such places where acts of terrorism have taken place regularly so that concrete measures are taken for their eradication.
Expressing satisfaction over reduction in target killings of Hazara Community and shia zaireen said that such acts should be ended completely and serious steps should be taken in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch his government inherited problems of target killings, sectarian terrorism and abduction for ransom. But during one and half years in its office coalition government has overcome 70 to 80 percent problems.
He said after Peshawar carnage National Action Plan united all the institutions of the nation and FC, Police and Levies personnel were sacrificing their lives in war on terror. Government of Balochistan was ready for every sacrifice for successful completion of Zarb Azb.
He said in view of recent acts of terrorism provincial government has allocated a major chunk of its budget for maintaining law and order in which police and Levies were being provided modern weapons and training. Police was provided nearly Rupees 2 billion and Levies Rupees one billion. Under compensation policy government of Balochistan gives Rupees one million to every martyr family and in case of material loss compensation is also paid.
Malik Baloch said mutual coordination of Pak Army, FC, Police and Levies as well as concerned quarters has sent a clear message to the anti state elements which has resulted a very clear reduction in crimes. A number of leading heads of banned outfits have been killed and large number of their accomplices are behind the bars.
He said it is clear fact Pakistan?s future is linked with Balochistan and Balochistan?s progress is guarantee for Pakistan?s prosperity.
Balochistan Chief Minister said 18 th amendment and NFC award has helped resolve long standing problems of Balochistan which Gwadar to Kashgar Corridor is milestone for development of this province.
He said Balochistan was progressing under the leadership of Prime Minster Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and it has no past precedence. Its clear proof he added is Balochistan coalition government which has allocated huge amounts for education, health, drinking water and other social sectors under its priorities and it is a record, he added
