QUETTA(PPI): Our war against terror has begun all over the country. It is not limited to days and months but we have to wage a long struggle. We have decided that we have to win war on terror at every cost. Security of citizens and establishment of peace is top of priorities of government of Pakistan. We have to face terrorism with courage, patience, tolerance and wisdom. Government while reorganizing Counter Terrorism Department has decided to establish Counter Terrorism Froe comprising highly educated youth which was being imparted training of special intelligence operations and investigation.
These views were expressed by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while addressing passing out parade of Special Combat Unit of Counter Terrorism Force of Balochistan police here Thursday.
Ceremony was attended among others by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Balcohsitna Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, and Inspector General Police Balochistan Muhammad Amlish, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha and others.
Two hundred policemen including 18 women passed out today under the first phase. These included officers and jawans of Balochistan police and Balochistan constabulary. Policemen also gave practical demonstrated of training on the occasion.
Prime Minister said after Punjab now Special Combat Unit was ready to perform its duty in Balochistan. He said work would be carried out on scientific basis in the country for ensuring peace. He said entire nation and national institutions have unitedly decided because it is matter of our economic and social life. It is matter of survival of our coming generations and realizing this Counter Terrorism Force has been constituted. This force was being equipped with most modern weapons and other equipment. Its ability for immediate and speedy response would be increased.
Prime Minister directed passing out jawans they should make people realise of sense of security by following discipline, sense of responsibility and impartiality. In their behaivour with innocent people there should be demons triton of high moral values. No criminal should escape from their hands and this is objective of their training. Fulfill it so that their trainers teachers, organisation and we all are proud of you.
He said every citizen of Pakistan is participating war on terror along with armed forces and institutions shoulder to shoulder. War on terror is war of entire nation. Our jawans, armed forces were fighting against terrorists and their hideouts under Operation Zarb Azb. At the same time our nation, all national institutions, provincial governments, federal government were striving to root out menace of terrorism under National Action Plan. Course of action evolved by all national institutions, Armed forces, political parties and all provincial governments is exemplary. When nations are united on one decision none can stop them from success.
Counter Terrorism Force whose first batch was passing out today is reflection of this national unanimity and strategy. Pak army, Special Services Group, police and relative quarters participated in training of this force. He said he was thankful to Chief of Army General Raheel Sharif who took keen interest and played role for completion of training of this force in short period. Examples of bravery set by our martyrs with their blood would prove beacon light for jawans of Counter Terrorism Force and these sons and daughters of the nation would not rest from any sacrifice when time comes. Their performance is praise worthy.
He congratulated Balochistan Police and Government on the successful completion of Counter Terrorism Force. He also congratulated all the jawnas including brave daughters on successful completion of their training. He assured the nation and Force people that we would not sit in rest so long we clear out land of menace of terrorism. It is our commitment and it should be in the heart of prime minister, Army chief and every Pakistan. He said he was seeing this determination all over the country. So long terrorism was going on in the country it elimination is also our responsibility and we would not retreat from this responsibility.
