QUETTA: The President of National Labour Federation Balochistan, Abdul Raheem Mirdad Khail, its General Secretary, Arshad Mehmood, and other office bearers have expressed their deep grief and sorrow over casualties of mine labourers in a coal mine of Duki.
In a joint statement issued here, they pointed out that eight mine workers fell victim to the mine collapse in Duki area on Thursday.
They charged that the mine workers were working around 2500 feet below the ground in the mine when it collapsed due to the explosion of the gas and as there was no sufficient arrangement of oxygen and air. As a result, the mine workers were suffocated to death, they claimed.
The leaders of the National Labour Federation demanded a thorough probe into the tragic incident and form an inquiry committee in this regard.
