QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha has expressed his displeasure over the poor arrangements made by the Chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta for the annual examinations of Matric.
During his surprise visit to the Government Central Boys School and Government Girls Railway High School the other day, the Chief Secretary was annoyed that proper arrangement was not made for searing of the students in exams. As a result they are facing problems in appearing in the exams, he said.
Also accompanied with him were the Commissioner Quetta, Kambar Dashti, Deputy Commissioner Dawood Khan Khilji, Director Schools, Saleem Akhtar Ansari, besides other concerned high ups.
The Chief Secretary on the occasion inquired about the issues from the students appearing in the exams.
He issued on the sport directives to resolve the issues facing the students.
The top bureaucrat of the province mentioned that cheating is a menace, which is affecting our future.
If the cheating was not eliminated then we would not be able to compete with the developed nations, he maintained.
He expressed the provincial government’s resolve to put an end to the cheating in the examinations from the province being its top priority.
The Chief Secretary also directed to make proper arrangement of seating for the students in next papers. No negligence would be tolerated whatsoever in this regard, he warned adding that otherwise stern action would be taken against those found negligent in performing their duties during the examinations.
It may be mentioned here that the provincial government had decided to take stern action against cheating in the examinations, and for the purpose, it was decided to deploy top bureaucrats of the province including secretaries of the provincial government departments for monitoring of the examinations.
The secretaries have been assigned the responsibilities of monitoring in different districts of the province.
The Chief Secretary also took the responsibility of supervising the measures taken for prevention of cheating and use of other unfair means in the examinations.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Muhammad Naseem Lehri and Commissioner Makran Division, Pasand Khan Buledi visited the Government Boys High School in Absar area of Turbat.
He reviewed the campaign against cheating in the examinations in the exam center established in the School.
Muhammad Naseem Lehri urged the students to refrain from the cheating as the exam could be passed from it, but the talent and ability could not be produced.
Similarly, the Secretary Information, Abdullah Jan visited different schools in Hub to review the arrangements made for prevention of cheating in the ongoing exams.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the provincial government is taking steps to improve quality of education by putting an end to the cheating.
He said that it is endeavor of the government to give the children their due rights by eliminating cheating and use of other unfair means in the examinations.
It would compel the students to work hard and pay maximum focus on their studies to excel in the exams and their future life, he said.
The Secretary Information expressed his anger over mismanagement in Government High School Hub and directed to take stern action against those students creating chaos and using unfair means in the examinations.
