BA adopts resolution

QUETTA Feb 23 (PPI): Balochistan assembly at the outset of 46 th working day out of 100 days adopted a resolution demanding issuance of diplomatic passport to Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali chaired the session today.
Moving resolution provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch said under article 104 of Constitution fo Pakistan speaker takes oath of offices of Speaker and Provincial Governor. In the province office of Governor has significance.
Similarly Deputy Speaker is next to Speaker under 18 th Constitution. For this reason in developed countries Speaker has equal protocol of Governor but in our country speaker and Dept Speaker are not issued Diplomatic passports.
This House recommends to provincial government to approach Federal government for ensuring issuance of diplomatic passport to the important constitutional offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Speaking on the resolution leader of the House Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that according to recommendations member of Senate would get VIP protocol for life.
Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali said blue passport should be given to Member and his/her spouse. He said there are over 1100 members of Senate, National Assembly and four provincial assemblies. It would not be difficult to issue them diplomatic passport.
MPAs Agha Liaqat Ali, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Agha Ali Raza, Ms Rahila Durrani, provincial ministers Jaffar Mandokhel and Hamid Achakzai also supported the resolution.
When put to vote House unanimously adopted the resolution.
