QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch has said that we would start crackdown against the careless and inept employees of the Health department.
He was talking to the local media during his visit to the Divisional Headquarter Hospital Sibi the other day.
He said that the culture of safarish had destroyed the health institution, so we are mindful of our responsibilities in this regard and would not be tolerating any more that culture and nepotism.

Also present on the occasion were the Divisional Director Health Services, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Khawajakhail, District Health Officer (DHO) Sibi, Mian Manzoor Ahmad, Medical Superintendent of the Divisional Headquarter Hospital and other concerned officials besides the office bearers of National Party.
The Health Minister on the occasion mentioned that the shortage of doctors has been removed in the Divisional Headquarter Hospital. While removing the shortage, eight experienced doctors have been posted there, he maintained.
He said that the senior doctors would be serving the people of Sibi after joining their duties soon.
Mir Rehmat Baloch urged the doctors to serve with masses considering it really service and mission.
He on the occasion also mentioned that three medical colleges have been announced to remove shortage of the doctors in the province. These colleges would be functional soon.
He also said that all the DHQ hospitals of the province have been provided Rs. 1 million each to meet their requirements.
While on the other hand, the divisional directors of Health as well as Medical Superintendent of all the DHQ Hospitals to have consultation over the issues, he maintained.
Referring sararish culture, he said that it (safarish) has been the biggest hurdle in our work in addition to the political interference and influence.
He said that we have revived the Health department putting an end to the corruption and nepotism.
He went on to claim that one could see the practical steps for provision of better health facilities in the province.
The Health Minister went round of different wards and sections of the Hospital. He directed to take steps for making the mortuary of Sibi functional.
During the visit, he also administered the anti-polio drops to the children. He was briefed about the health situation and steps being taken for its uplift.
Meanwhile, the Minister also visited the residence of Principal of Public Health School Sibi, Ms. Reehana Sami to condole her death with her bereaved family members.
He prayed for the departed soul expressing sympathy with her family members over her death.
