32 in run for 12 Senate seats

QUETTA Feb 28 (PPI): There are 32 candidates in run for 12 Senate seats from Balochistan. Six candidates withdrew their candidatures on Saturday last day of withdrawal of nomination papers.
This was stated by Provincial election Commissioner Balochsitan Syed Sultan Bayazeed while speaking to newsmen at his office here today.
He told that elections of 12 Senate seats would be held at provincial assembly hall here on March 5. Polling would continue from 9 am till 5 pm. Strength of Balochistan assembly stands at 65.
He said those withdrew their nominations today were Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and Anwaruddin Azad (JUI), Naseebullah Bazai, Abdul Rauf, Irfan Kurd (PML-N) and Dr Mohan Kumar.
He aid now any member withdraws his notation papers he would be considered retired from election.
