Tree plantation campaign: 2,50,000 saplings to be planted in Quetta district this year

QUETTA: A meeting in connection with the Spring tree plantation campaign was held with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Yaqoob Marri in the chair the other day.
The Education District Officer as well as the representatives of different departments including Forest, Agriculture and Livestock attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to plant saplings in the educational institutions and the government offices.
In this regard, all the concerned departments have been asked to provide list of the saplings to the office of Deputy Commissioner’s office so as to meet their requirements and provide the same (saplings) to them.
It was informed in the meeting that 2,50,000 saplings would be planted in Quetta district this year.
Effective steps would be taken to protect and preserve the saplings to be planted in the district.
Every department concerned would be responsible for care of the plants where they would be planted during the campaign.
