Senate elections on March 5: MPAs urged not to bring with them weapons carrying guards in assembly

QUETTA: The members of the Provincial Assembly have been requested not to bring with them their (security) guards carrying weapons on eve of the elections of Senate to be held on March 05, 2015.
This was stated in an official hand out of the Provincial Assembly’s Secretariat on Tuesday.
This request has been made in backdrop of the decision, which had been made in a meeting held with the Provincial Secretary Home in the chair on February 11, 2015.
It was decided in the meeting that entry of the security guards carrying weapons would be banned in boundary of the provincial assembly to ensure security of the members of the assembly under the security plan devised for March 05.
So, in light of the decision, it was requested to the MPAs to follow the advice in this regard, as mentioned in the official hand out.
Holiday in Provincial Assembly:
Meanwhile, it has been announced that there would be a public holiday in the Provincial Assembly’s secretariat on March 05, on account of the Senate’s elections.
So, entry of the officers and staff of the assembly would be prohibited, an official notification issued here by the Provincial Assembly’s secretariat mentioned.
