QUETTA mar 6 (PPI): No military operation was underway in any part Balochistan. Terrorists have no capability as to use Army against them. When there are attack s on us, FC, Levies and police take joint operation against terrorists.
These views were expressed by Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti at a press conference here Friday. DIG FC Brigadier Tahir Mahmood was also present on the occasion.
He said we are carrying out extensive search operation in North East of Balochistan including Zhob, Killa Saifullah, Killa Abdullah and Loralai following shifting of terrorists to escape Zarb e Azb and they were getting help in the area. He asked the people to cooperate with security forces.
He said a suspect arrested form Lak Pass area near Quetta is stated to be from Jundullah. It was being interrogated.
He appreciated that a tribal elder Amanullah Notezai led an operation for the recovery of Hindu businessman abducted in Dalbandin. Some Levies officials were martyred in this operation.
Home minister said acting on secret information FC Balochistan foiled two big plans of terrorism on eve of Pakistan Day march 23 and recovered large quantity f arms and ammunition from New Kahan Hazarganji area on the outskirts of Quetta and in Chaman. Seized arms and ammunition included 82 mm Mortar shells (48), 120 mm Mortar shells (9) and 3 Kg explosive. Terrorists had brought this arms and ammunition in New Kahan area with the help of foreign elements and hide it in mountains there.
He said there were reports terrorists had plans to use this on eve of March 23 in and around Quetta for terrorist activities.
He said in another action FC recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition form secret cavities of a vehicle in Chaman, Killa Abdullah. It included SMGs (2), magazines (9), rounds (340), RPG-7 (10) and snipper rounds (2042).
He said FC Balochistan was dealing with terrorists with iron hands under the orders of provincial government for ensuring peace and monitoring borders.
