QUETTA: The Turkish government has announced the scholarship programme for the under-graduate and graduate students.
According to an official hand out issued here, applications for the under-graduate and graduate scholarship programme could be submitted till March 31, 2015.
Needless to mention here is that the Turkish government would bear all the expenses to be incurred on the scholarship programme.
In this regard, a letter has been sent to the Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch from the Turkish ambassador to Pakistan, S. Babür Girgin, in which details of the scholarship programme has been provided expressing the desire that the students of the province may be provided the information about the programme. This would help maximum (students) to submit maximum applications and they may get opportunity of education in the higher educational institutions of Turkey.
The memo mentioned that the applications could be submitted online as well, which is free of cost.
The under graduate programme comprises: Regional Under-graduate scholarship programme, Ibne Sina Medical Science Scholarship programme, Younas Amri Turkish Language Scholarship Programme, Islamic theology Scholarship Programme, Art Scholarship Programme and Sports Scholarship Programme.
Moreover, the Postgraduate Scholarship Programme includes: Science and Technology Scholarship Programme, Ibne Khuldun Social Science, Younas Amri Turkish Lanugage Scholarship Programme, Islamic Technology, Art and Sports Scholarship Programmes.
It has also been mentioned that the Turkish government would bear all the expenses of the successful candidates under the Scholarship Programmes.
The monthly stipend of 600 Turkish Lira would be offered to the students qualifying for the Under-graduate Scholarship Programme. Similarly, 650 Turkish Lira would be paid to the students to be qualified for the Master / Postgraduate Scholarship Programme while the Ph.D programme students would get the scholarship of 1200 Turkish Lira.
In addition to the stipend, the successful candidates would also be eligible to get the tuition fees, free of cost one year Turkish language course, free of cost accommodation, two-day air ticker of Turkey and health insurance.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has appreciated the Turkish scholarship programme. He has also directed to all the concerned to provide necessary information about the scholarship programme to students of the universities and college in the province and motivate them to benefit from the programme.
