Route permits of seven wagons suspended on violation of PTA directives

QUETTA: The Provincial Transport Authority ordered to suspend the route permits of seven passenger wagons on violation of its directives in Tehsil Dasht of Mastung district.
The order of suspension of the route permits was issued by the Secretary PTA during checking of different wagons, buses and trucks in Dasht area the other day.
Also accompanied with him were the Tehsildar Dasht, Amir Hamza Bangulzai and other concerned officials.
During overall checking, some 45 wagons, buses and trucks were inspected.
Of them, owners / drivers of 15 trucks were also issued warning to correct their route permits within 10 days, otherwise legal action would be taken against them.
The Secretary PTA said that it is an offence to overload the passengers or get them seated on roofs of the vehicles.
No one would be spared in this regard, and stern action would be taken if found violating the government’s directives in this regard.
He also warned the transporters not to fleece the passengers and charge the fares as was fixed by the authority earlier.
The Secretary PTA on the occasion mentioned that mostly the government fares are being implemented by the transporters. Action is also taken as and when the public complaints are received, he added.
He commended that the transporters are extending cooperation in this regard. He also said that condition of the route transport is strictly being monitored.
