FC holds celebrations on Women’s Day in various corps HQRs

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan celebrated the International Women’s Day (IWD) as special ceremonies were arranged at its various corps headquarters marking the Day.
The senior officers and staff of the FC, civil administration, local women, teachers and students of the educational institutions attended the celebrations.
The women belonging to various shades of life said that the role of women isvery important in development of the society. They also talked on certain points of inviolability of the women, their sacrifices and role in bringing reforms in the society.
In this regard, a function was organized under the arrangements of FC Ghaza band Scouts at the FC Public School, Baleli.
The girl students and other participants highlighted the role of women in the society. A drama / tableau was also presented depicting the status of women in the society. A cultural programme was also presented on the occasion.
An impressive ceremony was also held under the auspices of FC Taftan Rifles in Nokandi the same day.
The speakers also stressed the need to give due rights to the women guaranteed in Islam.
They also stressed that the Hazrat Bibi Fatima (RA) is a role model for the women, so they should follow her to make success in this world and hereafter.
The celebrations were also held at the FC Public School Khuzdar. The FC Kalat Scouts had arranged the ceremony in connection with IWD.
The wife of Brigadier Shahid Mehmood was the chief guest.
The participants termed the celebrations on eve of IWD as welcoming and stressed the need to arrange similar functions in future as well.
Different tableaus were also presented highlighting role of women in the society.
Speeches were also delivered by the participating students of the school.
A similar function was arranged under the auspices of FC Bamboor Rifles in Dera Bugti. The local women also attended the ceremony besides officials from the FC and civil administration.
Moreover, the IWD was also observed by the FC Chaman Scouts and FC Dalbandin Rifles at Chaman and Dalbandin respectively.
