Reko Diq project abandoned-CM

QUETTA(PPI): Balochistan government has abandoned Reko Diq (Sammar Mubarak Mand) project.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister in reply to a question asked by Abdul Rehman Khetran (JUI) in provincial assembly here Monday.
A member of Panel of Chairmen Mohtarma Spozmai Achakzai was in the chair.
Chief Minister said previous government spent Rupees 1.75 billion on this project. They purchased 25/26 vehicles and generators.
We have abandoned this project. During our period no money was spent on this project. We have allocated funds which were not released.
We have directed Secretary S&GAD to take possession of the vehicles in Islamabad and bring them to Quetta.
Another Reko Diq project run by Tethyan Company was under hearing at the international Court of Justice.
