Fawad Hashim Rabbani: Police & Levies force being equipped with modern weapons

QUETTA: Special security arrangements have been made in all districts of the Zhob Division. The Police and Levies personnel are being equipped with modern weapons. They would also be gradually trained so that they are able to combat terrorism and law and order situation well.
This was stated by Commissioner Zhob Division, Fawad Hashim Rabbani while addressing a meeting on the issues of law and order in his Division, at Loralai the other day.
Those who attended the meeting were: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Zhob Region, Zulfiqar Ali Larak, Additional Commissioner Zhob, Talha Hussain Faisal, Deputy Commissioner Loralai, Shahzaib Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Shirani, Muhammad Azeem Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Musakhail, Agha Nabeel Akhtar, Deputy Commissioner, Killa Saifullah, Amir Sultan Tareen, District Police Officer, Killa Saifullah, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, Dawood Shah, and other concerned officials.
Addressing the meeting the Commissioner maintained that Rapid Response Force (RRF) would be formed at the district level in Zhob Division very soon.
Similarly, he also said that the highways including N-50 and N-70 would be made safest so that the acts of terrorism may be coped up with timely.
In addition to equipping them with the modern weapons, the police and levies force are also being provided the necessary bullet proof jackets, he said.
He said that the joint patrolling is also being increased in night time. The police and levies force have been deployed at the important official buildings and installations in the Division, he maintained.
The Commissioner on the occasion urged the Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers of all the districts to maintain close rapport among them to counter terrorism acts.
He also stressed the need to strengthen the intelligence network. He also urged the masses to fully support their respective administration in its initiatives of maintaining law and order.
The Deputy Commissioners of different districts briefed the meeting about the law and order situation in their respective districts. They also briefed about the initiatives taken and being taken for maintaining law and order situation in their districts.
