Balochistan Sports Festival ends in Makran Division

QUETTA: The closing ceremony of Balochistan Sports Festival Makran Division was held in Gawadar the other day.
The Commander Coastal area of Pak Navy, Commodore Akbar Naqi was chief guest on the occasion.
Also present on the occasion were the Director General of Gawadar Development Authority, Dr. Sajjad Ali Baloch, Chairman Tehsil Council Gawadar, Abid Rahim, besides others.
The Makran-leg Balochistan Sports Festival was commenced on March 05, 2015 in Gawadar.
Addressing the closing ceremony, the Commander Coastal area said that the Pak Navy would continue to play its role in promotion of sports in addition to provision of facilities of health and education in coastal areas of the Balochistan province.
He appreciated the healthy participation of the youth in different sports activities organized in connection with Sports Festival in Makran.
He said that enthusiasm and spirit of the youth shown in the Sports Festival reflects the fact that they want to play their constructive role in development of the province and the country.
He on the occasion also said that it is essential to provide maximum opportunities of sports and healthy activities to the youth take part for their mental grooming as well.
Dr. Sajjad Ali Baloch and Abid Raheem also addressed the ceremony.
They also appreciated the participation and performance of the players in Makran Sports Festival.
They stressed the need to organize similar activities in future as well.
Earlier, physical demonstration and march past was done by the participating players in the ceremony.
The players from Gawadar, Panjgur and Turbat took part in cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
