Govt. taking steps to make Balochistan peaceful: Rehmat

QUETTA: The present coalition government is taking every possible effective steps to make Balochistan an educated, healthy and peaceful province under the leadership of Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.
It is government’s ultimate endeavour to bring about marked improvement in the overall law and order situation of the province so that the people may lead a peaceful life, maintained the Health Minister while addressing the Annual Sibi Festival as a chief guest the other day.
Rehmat Baloch said that the annual Sibi Festival plays key role in promotion of culture of the province in a big way.
It is our collective responsibility of ours including the civil society and the government to make the Festival a great success with wholehearted participation, he maintained.
He also expressed the government’s resolve to make the Festival success.
The cattle breeders from all over the country and province brought cattle of high breed in the Sibi Mela for sale and purchase, so this is also a good source of their income, he said.
The Minister Health stressed that proper coverage should be given to the annual Sibi festival in the electronic and print media of the country.
He on the occasion mentioned that the Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch inaugurated the new Chakar Khan University in Sibi, which would open the doors of higher education on people of the area.
The flower show, horse riding, jumping, wrestling and different attractive programmes were present on the occasion.
In the end, the chief guest gave away prizes among the good performers.
He also inspected different stalls set up in the exhibition as part of the annual Sports Festival.
