QUETTA mar 15 (PPI): Problems and backwardness of Balochistan cannot end by giving deputy chairmanship. Federal government should ensure provision of basic facilities according to area of Balochistan.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydri while addressing a Press conference Sunday.
Provincial Amir JUI-F Maulana Faiz Muhammad, Secretary General Malik Sikandar Advocate MPAs Gul Muhammad Domar, Mufti Gulab Khan and others were also present.
Earlier he was accorded warm welcome upon his arrival here today form Islamabad at Quetta airport. He drove to provincial secretariat in a procession
Hydri said though operation is needed for elimination of terrorism but sometime talks are also helpful in this regard. He said talks between Taliban and government in Afghanistan is good sign. China visit of Maulana Fazlur Rehman is about problems of Balochistan particularly Gwadar-Kashgar Corridor. We are hopeful that China would restore old route in view of reservations of people of Balochistan. He said we are thankful to Allah almighty to secure office of Deputy Chairman Senate despite no majority in the Upper House due to leadership abilities of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He aid office of Deputy Chairmanship is honour for Balochistan but mere winning this office backwardness of Balochistan and its problems cannot end. Federal government should give full share to Balochistan in mega projects underway here and complete autonomy over its resources. Balochistan is the biggest province of Pakistan in area and roads and development process accordingly needed. Allocation of Rupees 100 or 200 billion in the budget cannot resolve problems of the province but this increase further. Rulers need to pay attention on the province.
Answering a question he said we condemn incidents of terrorism wherever they take place. Suicide attack on Church in Lahore is condemnable. Punjab government should take action in this regard.
