Local traders concerned about poor cleanliness, non-shifting of local addahs to Hazar Ganji

QUETTA: A meeting of the Markazi Anjuman Tajran Balochistan was held here the other day. President of the Anjuman, Abdul Rahim Kakar presided over the meeting.
The participants including Hazrat Ali Achakzai, Allah Dad, Yasin Mengal, Khuda-e-Dost, Ibrahim Kasi, Dost Muhammad, Syed Taj Agha and others discussed the issues facing the traders community in Quetta city.
They particularly diverted the attention of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation towards the poor cleanliness situation in Quetta.
They regretfully pointed out that the citizens are facing numerous issues due to the poor cleanliness and sewerage system in the city.
The situation turned worst even after the light raining in the city, they maintained.
Huge amount was spent on improvement of sewerage and sanitation system in the city, but to no avail, they charged adding that the situation is also evident from the recent raining, which caused problems and hardships to the dwellers in many areas.
The participants also discussed the issue of non shifting of the private bus and wagon terminals to the Hazar Ganji area from the city.
They expressed their dismay over non-shifting of the bus terminals to Hazar Ganji and demanded of the government to ensure implementation on the same.
The traders also voiced concern against any proposed move to bring change in the route of Pak-China economic corridor.
They said that any change in the route would not be acceptable to the people of the province and so the traders.
They warned that strong protest would be lodged if any attempt was made to do so.
