QUETTA: The Jama’at-e-Islami (JI) Balochistan has condemned the closure of some private educational institutions in the name of security in Quetta.
In its provincial statement issued here, the JI spokesman said that shutting down the private educational institutions and not paying the due attention towards the government institutions means that the doors of education are being closed on the public in Quetta.
It was stated that although there are security concerns, but solution doesn’t lie in shutting down the educational institutions for the same reasons.
It is not a wise decision to close down the private schools under the garb of security concerns, as the government is equally responsible for protection of life and property of the masses, it was stated further.
Meanwhile, the provincial Ameer of JI, Abdul Mateen Akhunzada demanded of the government to provide basic health and education facilities in the Mangochar, Kalat areas, which otherwise are lacking the same.
Akhunzada was talking to a delegation of tribal elders and the office bearers of the Jama’at from Kalat areas the other day.
He said that the government should pay attention towards development of the backward areas of the province as it is its responsibility to do so.
He also diverted the attention of the concerned authorities towards the issue of gas load shedding in the severe cold in these areas.
He demanded of the authorities to take steps for solution of the longstanding issue.
