QUETTA(PPI): Government of Japan is committed to extending cooperation to Pakistan a various fields through assistance schemes.
In Balochistan it has implemented various projects in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, health, educator, infrastructure, disaster prevention and polio eradication.
These views re expressed by Consul General fo Japan Akira Ouchi at a ceremony to confer Certificate of Appreciation to Syed Nadeem Shah Honorary consul of Japan in Quetta Tuesday night.
He said Japanese government had helped local NGOs through her Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human security projects in implementing smalls scale projects. Embassy of Japan in Pakistan has implemented 35 projects in Balochistan in the past and recently he has signed a grant contract with jam e Shifa Organisation for a project in health sector. He would take this opportunity to thanks Syed Nadeem Shah for his facilitation in all these projects.
Nadeem Shah has organised various cultural events at the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Centre in the city in order to introduce Japanese arts and culture to the people in Balochistan. He has also been engaged in the facilitation of the government o japans? youth exchange programme. Through these cultural activities he has greatly contributed to the promotion of Japans Culture in Balochistan and the strengthening of friendly ties between the people of Japan and the people of Balochistan. Through his cooperation Nadeem Shah has been playing an important role of ?bridge? between two societies.
He hoped that economic relations, cultural and people to people exchange between Japan and Balochistan will be further promoted through the efforts by him.
Syed Nadeem Shah thanked Government of Japan for conferment of Appreciation Certificate.
