Japanese Consul General visits BUITEMS

QUETTA(PPI): Japanese Consul General Akira Ouchi has said Pakistan particularly Balochistan is rich in mineral sources to exploit these resources there is dire need for modern knowledge and scientific and technical education. Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management sciences (BUITEMS) was playing significant role in this regard. He termed BUITEMS role in technical knowledge particularly in the field of science and technology of great importance.
He made these views while addressing students during his visit to BUITEMS here Wednesday. Honourary consul General of Japan based at Quetta Syed Nadeem shah also accompanied him.
Vice chancellor Ahmed Farooq Bazai held a detailed briefing for the visitors.
Referring to Japan education friend and importance of education in Japan Akira Ouchi said Japanese government was providing scholarship to students all over the world. In Pakistan 11 scholarships are given every year in different sectors. Students of BUITMES should make strides for benefitting for these scholarships.
Highlighting ?Education in Japan? Japanese Consul General said that under the said banner there are vast opportunities of study in Japan and students should avail these opportunities.
He said under JICA scholarships, technical training and other opportunities can be achieved.
Vice chancellor Ahmed Farooq Bazai appreciated education-friendship of Japanese Consul General and thanked him. He expressed the hope that we have to concentrate upon human resources at the most because developed minds is guarantee for development society and prosperous nation and country and this is possible only through higher educator.
Later students were shown Japanese movies in connection with Japan film Festival.
