QUETTA(PPI): Provincial government has launched school bharo (fill the schools) schemes which was going on successfully. Unfortunately still 7 to 8 lakh children are out of schools deprived of basic education. Basic education should support the government and play its role to bring these children to the schools.
These views were expressed by Adviser on reduction Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech while addressing introductory session about education organised by Directorate of Basic Education here Thursday.
He said there is need to make every stride for ending educational backwardness in the province. So far informal education is concerned he added we would do every effort for making it functional. He said 7 to 8 lakh children and 2.5 million girls are deprived of primary education. Provincial government has launched school bharo campaign which was underway successfully. He asked Basic Education directorate for support. He said NGOs working on education should come forward and strengthen hands of provincial government.
Director Basic Education said that 12204 Basic education centres were working different parts of the country including Balochistan. It is aimed at to stabilize informal school on sound basis.
He said under article 25-A guarantees free and compulsory education for children of 14 to 16 years of age. This free reduction has been provided by federal government and provincial governments were also supporting it.
