Significant improvement made in law and order, says Ahsan Mehboob

QUETTA: The acting Inspector General of Police, Ahsan Mehboob has said that the significant improvement has been made in overall law and order situation of the province.
This was stated by Ahsan Mehboob while briefing the participants of 102nd National Management Course in Lahore, who are currently on study tour of Balochistan, here the other day.
The acting IGP mentioned that the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are playing their active role in protecting life and property of the masses and thus maintaining law and order in the province through mutual cooperation and joint strategy.
He on the occasion pointed out that the officers and personnel of the police and other LEAs have been rendering sacrifice of their lives in line of duty. As many as 541 officers and jawans have so far embraced martyrdom in different incidents of terrorism and subversive acts, he mentioned adding that 447 others were also injured in the incidents.
Earlier, the DIG Dr. Mujeebur Rehman briefed the participants of the course about the overall situation of the province.
The commemorative shields were also exchanged by the visiting guests and the hosts.
