Quetta sewerage and sanitation system: Special committee formed to ascertain reasons of failure

QUETTA: A special committee has been formed to ascertain the reasons of failure of the Quetta city sewerage and sanitation system despite spending huge amount on it.
The committee has been formed in line with the ruling of the Speaker Balochistan Assembly during its session on March 16, 2015.
According to an official hand out issued here, the members of the committee are included: Provincial Minister for WASA and PHE, Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai, Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, Provincial Minister for Information, Parliamentary Affairs and Law, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal as well as members of Provincial Assembly, Tahir Mehmood, Agha Syed Muhammad Raza, Nasarullah Zeray and Manzoor Ahmed Kakar.
The Provincial Minister for Local Government, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Tareen would be the ex-Officio member of the special committee with Mayor Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Dr. Kalimullah who would act as its Honorary Member.
Similarly, the Additional Secretary Balochistan Assembly, Shamsuddin has been designated as the Secretary to the committee.
