QUETTA: The Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has expressed its deep concern over the “rampant†crime incidents in the Hazar Ganji and Shalkot areas.
In its statement issued here, the PkMAP charged that the incidents of theft and dacoity as well as the snatching of four and two wheelers on gun point have become a matter of routine causing sense of insecurity among the dwellers.
Condemning the lawlessness in the areas, the PkMAP stressed the need to take effective measures for protection of life and property of the masses.
It was stated that the Hazar Ganji vegetable market provide ample opportunities of livelihood to hundreds of the people, but they are facing problems due to the law and order problem in the area.
The area police instead of providing protection to the people try to harass them in the name of checking and through other means, it was charged further.
It was demanded of the authorities concerned to take concrete steps for resolving the issue of law and order in the Hazar Ganji and its adjoining areas.
