Modern technology to be introduced in Education: Kakar Secretary Secondary Education directs to conduct survey of private educational institutions; says NOC of those failing in provision of desired data would be cancelled

QUETTA: The provincial department of Secondary Education has decided to introduce modern technology for removing flaws in the educational system.
As part of the initiatives being taken in this regard, the biometric system would be introduced to ensure attendance of the officers and other employees at their respective duty places i.e., in the Directorate of Education, Bureau of Curriculum, Balochistan Text Book Board, Policy Planning and Implementation Unit and other important offices, stated the Secretary for Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar while chairing a meeting on the education management and information system here the other day.
The Secretary said that the system would not only help identify the absentee officers and other staff but it would also help take stern action against them, he added.
He said that action would be taken against the district education officers in doing negligence in acquiring the data required for Education Management Information System.
The officers not collecting the data within the given time would be discharged from their duties, the Secretary Education maintained.
He also directed to collect the desired data for the system from all over the province as soon as possible.
Kakar on the occasion also directed to conduct survey of the private educational institutions and collect data about them.
He said that the NOC of those educational institutions failing to provide desired information timely should be cancelled.
The private institutions not coming up to the desired standard would be sealed, he warned.
